Cous Cous is small cut pasta that cooks very quickly. It is made from Semolina flour, which is the best part of the grain of wheat. It can be flavored with many things to compliment what you want to serve it with.
Here is a quick and easy, very adaptable recipe sure to be enjoyed!
Ingredients
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 TBSP Garlic, chopped
¼ Cp Tomato, chopped
¼ Cp Onion, Diced
1 Cp Chicken Stock
1 Cp Cous Cous
Directions
1) In small pan with tight fitting lid, heat the olive and sauté the Garlic, Tomato and Onion about 2 minutes until the Onion starts to turn transparent.
2) Add Stock and bring to boil.
3) Add Cous Cous, Stir to mix, turn off heat, cover and let set 4 to 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
Optional Ingredients:
Add Basil
Thyme
Mushrooms
Tarragon
Leeks instead of Onion
Shallot instead of Garlic
